Wondering what it's like to be a recruiter at a fast-paced and growing software company? This week, I sat down with my friend Xhuljana Lika, a Recruiter on our talent team, to hear all about her role here and what she loves about it (hint, it has a lot to do with our talented team of SmartBears!). Tell us a little about yourself and what you do here.
I’m a recruiter on the talent team and I’ve been here for a year and 3 months. I recruit for every department and all of our jobs, so I get to work with all of our hiring managers and every team, which is really cool. I attend meetups and career fairs to network with people and promote jobs. In the office, I have lots of interviews every week and I get to meet really talented people. 
What is the best part about your role?
Oh my gosh there’s so much. I really love building great teams on a large scale because I get to work with every department to create one amazing SmartBear team.
What makes working here special to you?
I really enjoy working here because everyone is collaborative and determined, so working feels like I'm not working. Everyone around me is happy, optimistic, and a team player working towards the same goal together. We're all career oriented and you can count on people to help you with whatever you need. I've been making so many friends and it’s great to see them do exciting things.
How has working here impacted you personally and in terms of your career?
Working here has given me a lot of advantages in my career because I have plenty of opportunities to get a leg-up on experience. I'm given a lot of responsibilities that are more senior than the level I’m actually at, so I can develop at a much faster rate than anywhere else. It has also helped me achieve my personal goal to get into the tech industry, because working here is as techy as it gets! And now the sky is the limit for me.
How would you describe the company culture?
Energetic. Really friendly. Intellectual. Optimistic.
What are your favorite perks from working here?
I love the autonomy I have. My team gives me responsibilities and believes in in me to do a great job with my work.
