Empowering QA Leadership: How User-friendly Automation Tools Drive QA Team Success
At SmartBear, we like to say that “Quality isn’t just a goal. It’s the whole point.” We see our commitment to social responsibility as an extension of that belief. Actually, the foundation of it.
SmartBear Gives Back is SmartBear’s global philanthropy initiative.
SmartBear is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for employees.
SmartBear follows science-based guidance for reduction target setting and our decarbonization strategy.
By committing to ethical practices that promote good, we pledge to continue building quality business in our global communities through integrity.
Through annual volunteering engagements with organizations as diverse as Child Rights and You (CRY) in India, the Somerville Homeless Coalition in Massachusetts, and Bath City Farm in the U.K., our employees get involved in their local communities with organizations that they care about.
Through our Company Match program, employees can further support causes that mean the most to them personally.
Our annual observances for issues like Breast Cancer Awareness and Men’s Health let our teams raise SmartBear-funded donations through participation in global events as well.
At many of our locations, SmartBear sends teams to annual charity runs or competitions where they represent the company by getting out and getting some exercise at the same time.
In Somerville, we hold an annual 3k run to benefit the Pan Mass Challenge and Dana Farber Cancer research – a cause that was close to our late CEO, Justin Teague.
SmartBear is committed to creating an inclusive workplace for employees where all individuals are treated with respect and feel a sense of belonging.
We are dedicated to fostering a workplace that reflects a diversity of thought and experience as well as our values of being smart, open, driven, accountable, and curious.
Our Resource Groups, Women@SmartBear, Bold@SmartBear, Proud@SmartBear, and Care@SmartBear are open to all employees and offer opportunities to build awareness and community, while impacting the business.
When we operate from a foundation of engagement, inclusion and opportunity, we not only hold ourselves accountable, we’re better able to transform big ideas into sustainable realities. And that lets us create lasting change in our business and communities.
Because at the end of the day, we’re here to make the world a more quality place – for everyone.
We see sustainability, in the broadest sense, as an ethical and smart approach to business.
In 2021, SmartBear signed the Vista Climate Agreement, committing to measuring, offsetting, and setting reduction targets each year since.
Having conducted five carbon surveys now, SmartBear continues to follow science-based guidance for reduction target setting and our decarbonization strategy.
We work with vetted carbon capture and avoidance projects to support carbon offsets alongside our reduction strategy, but never as a replacement for reduction.
We removed single-use plastics from our global offices, avoiding the use of hundreds of thousands of pieces per year. With wins like switching to 100% renewable energy at our Somerville HQ in 2023, we continue to look for efficiencies across our global operations.
