Collaborator: More Than Just Code – Artifact Review

Collaborator started life in 2005 as CodeCollaborator, the first official SmartBear product, with a focus strictly on code review. As requirements changed and the need for review of other forms of artifacts evolved, CodeCollaborator added support for peer review of Word documents with version 7.2 in May of 2012, eventually dropping the Code moniker and becoming Collaborator with version 8 in March of 2013. New review artifact types have been added as needs demanded, with improvements in performance in subsequent releases.

SmartBear has continued to add to the artifact review options for Collaborator by introducing peer review for Simulink .SLX models, and in the most recent version increment, DOORS-Classic views were added. An upcoming release will also add Confluence documents to the growing list of artifacts that can be imported and rendered in the built-in DIFF viewer. Join us as we explore review integrations and artifact peer review functionality in Collaborator.
