M&A veteran Nate Lewis brings 30+ years of experience leading strategic growth at high tech and private equity-backed companies

SmartBear, a leading provider of software quality and visibility solutions, has welcomed Nate Lewis as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Nate has more than 30 years of experience assisting both public and private companies in their pursuit of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships. He is leading SmartBear’s mergers and acquisitions strategy and advancing the company’s transformation into an AI-native organization, further driving enterprise-wide adoption of AI to accelerate growth, boost productivity, and unlock new value across every function.

Previously, Nate held senior corporate development roles at Demandware, Nuance Communications, Corel Corporation, and Stonebridge Associates. Most recently, he served as Chief Development Officer at Sevita, a provider of home and community-based specialty health care services, where he oversaw the company’s high-volume acquisition program. He brings deep expertise in structuring complex transactions, building high-performing teams, and aligning growth strategies with long-term business value.
