Chief Operating Officer
Bryce is the COO of SmartBear, and oversees mergers and acquisitions, finance, legal, information systems, security, and operations. He joined SmartBear in 2017 and has 20 years of experience building and leading finance and administrative teams. He has extensive M&A experience, having successfully been involved in almost two dozen transactions.
SVP, Growth Marketing
Courtney leads Growth Marketing (formerly Demand Generation) for SmartBear. Our high-velocity sales team relies on consistent, quality leads – across a breadth of products – which puts ever-increasing expectations on growth marketing. In response, in two years with the company, Courtney has doubled the size of her team, implemented predictive scoring and modeling, kept the focus on growing top-of-funnel, and increased mid-funnel conversions. All this while (somewhat) obsessively improving alignment between marketing and sales. Prior to SmartBear, she spent 10 years at Experian with roles in demand, communications, and content marketing. She lives on the south shore of Massachusetts, and spends her free time chasing after her two sons, aged 6 and 3, with her high-school-sweetheart husband.
Chief People and Culture Officer
Veronica is passionate about building empowered teams and leading with authenticity, a strong work ethic and honesty. She has 15 years of experience in talent, onboarding, and culture programs at disruptive global tech companies including an extensive background in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She has held key people and talent roles at fast growing companies, including Alumni Ventures, Flywire, Mendix, Turbonomic, and Bain Capital Ventures.
Veronica believes that company culture is the strongest tool to attract, hire, and retain the best talent, and is grounded in empowering all team members to thrive and grow across every stage of their SmartBear journey. She lives on the north shore of Boston with her husband and family.
Brian has spent over 20 years in a variety of leadership positions. Companies like Dell/EMC, BMC Software, and most recently Continuum, where he established and ran the security business – which eventually helped enable Continuum’s sale to ConnectWise. Along with his passion for helping companies solve complex business problems with technology, Brian enjoys the complex problem of trying to keep up with his three young kids.

Cynthia has worked in technology, both software and hardware, for 20+ years. She leads marketing efforts by mixing the science and art of marketing with a passion for innovation and breakthroughs that help advance industry. In addition to leading the marketing function, she’s also involved in advancing women in technology and loves overseeing a diverse and multinational team. Outside of the office, Cynthia enjoys the outdoors, especially skiing, and a good binge-watch with her family.
SVP, Business Operations
Anu is the SVP of Business Operations and oversees a centralized team to manage and provide visibility around SmartBear’s data analytics and cross-functional operation. He is driven by the need to increase predictability to the business and create visibility both internally and externally. He is passionate about developing the next generation of sellers at SmartBear. Anu got his start in the corporate world in management consulting and switched careers when he joined SmartBear in 2013.
Anu is a massive foodie and loves movies. He and his wife have traveled around the world in an attempt to try all the exotic food. Their bucket list is long, and they still have several more countries to go to.
SVP and General Counsel
Lance Levy has over 20 years of in-house leadership in public, private-equity and venture-backed companies. He joined SmartBear in 2015, and led the legal team through its private-equity sale from Insight Ventures to Francisco Partners and, most recently, the strategic investment from Vista Equity Partners. In his experience leading company legal teams, he’s successfully led multiple tech organizations through buy-and-sell side M&A exits, totaling over $2B. Prior to SmartBear, Lance was General Counsel of Affinnova, Inc., Imagitas, Inc., leading them in exits to Nielson Corporation and Pitney Bowes respectively and Assistant General Counsel at PAREXEL International. He enjoys spending time with friends and family and will laugh when appropriate, no written mandate required.
SVP, Customer Lifecycle
Chad is the SVP of Customer Lifecycle at SmartBear, responsible for overseeing Sales Engineering, Customer Adoption, and Renewal Sales.
Before joining SmartBear, he spent 10 years at LogMeIn, splitting time between the US and Europe while leading their Sales Operations team. Prior to that, he worked at Fidelity and Citi as an investment analyst following the market.
Chad currently lives in Dorchester with his wife and spends his free time biking, traveling, playing soccer, and watching football.
SVP, Strategy & Corporate Development
Elias is the SVP of Strategy & Corporate Development, facilitating value creation activities that accelerate SmartBear’s growth and innovation at scale. This is accomplished by supporting strategic programs and executing M&A. Elias has a background in strategy consulting and spent more than 10 years in software M&A roles before joining SmartBear in 2020. He lives on the North Shore of Boston and enjoys weightlifting, attending Celtics games, and playing Texas Hold ’Em.
SVP, Brand & Corporate Communications
A storyteller at heart, Maureen leads the development of our strategic narrative – ensuring we view the world through an employee and customer lens. With career experience shaped in the technology and professional services industries, Maureen has spent over two decades building standout brands during start-up, acquisition, and IPO for companies including Constant Contact and IBM. Obsessed with the customer and employee experience, Maureen is a strong believer that creating remarkable customer experiences starts with creating exceptional employee experiences – building a strong and beloved brand from the inside out. Maureen enjoys running, spending time at the beach, and traveling with family and friends.
Vineeta has had a lengthy career in software-engineering leadership. Her experience includes multi-shore development, cybersecurity, and acquisition – and the elements of integration that go with it. As a seasoned, execution-oriented leader, she’s passionate about advancing Agile-to-DevOps workflows, and secure, high-quality product development practices. Outside of the office, Vineeta enjoys hiking, painting, and yoga.
Laurent is an experienced entrepreneur and product leader. He co-founded and ran both Smartesting and Hiptest, as well as contributed to the growth of startup in the software space as a board member. He loves to solve complex business problems, build high-performing teams, and explore new territories. His #1 priority is to make sure people understand the WHY of their jobs, and to help them focus on the ultimate metric that matters: happy customers. He enjoys biking and climbing #cyclopath
Chief Executive Officer
Joining in 2018, Frank is the CEO and a board member of SmartBear, overseeing all aspects of the business. With over 25 years of experience, Frank seeks a comprehensive understanding of business complexities, providing collaborative leadership, while creating sustained long term company value. When not working, Frank loves spending time doing everything outdoors with his family and two dogs!
SVP, Sales Americas
Tom is a proven technology sales leader with an innate focus on developing great teams. As SVP of the Americas, Tom leads both the high-velocity and enterprise selling teams for SmartBear. He believes that an efficient, customer-first go-to-market function is built on hard work, strong accountability, and adding value consistently, to the organization and customers alike.
He joined SmartBear in 2014 from Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC). He prides himself on being very open and inclusive with his teams, and he is driven by solving problems.
Tom lives North of Boston with his beautiful wife and their son, Beau. When Tom is not working, he spends time with his family, on the golf course, paddle boarding, or exercising.
SVP, International Sales & Channel
Darin has worked in the software and technology industry for more than 25 years, gaining valuable experience in driving profitable business expansion and developing international global partnerships. As a seasoned sales leader, his experience has taken him and his family around the world with assignments across both Asia and Central Europe – to the point they still have a home in Brazil. As our SVP of International, Darin is focused on driving our continued global reach, and ensuring our sales teams continue to bring value to our customers and partners. Outside of work, he prefers all things outdoors and finding new pursuits to remain fit and active.
Chief Information Security Officer
Christine has a successful record of accomplishments spanning over 20 years with a unique balance of both business and technical experience. She began her career in Information Technology at Advertising.com, gaining unparalleled experience in the data-warehousing and information technology space, while also establishing herself as a respected manager and leader. Christine is widely known for her leadership, reliability, and transformational expertise. While her career has taken her up and down the East Coast, Christine is proud to call Gaithersburg, MD home. She is also a member of Women In Technology International (WITI). Outside of the office, Christine enjoys distance running, live music, and has recently been learning to make the shift from being a cat mom to now also being a puppy mom!
Chief Financial Officer
Shital is a finance professional with a well-rounded background in public and private equity-backed organizations – from large to small, across various industries. With her experience in turnaround situations and public companies, she knows not only how to help a team grow, but channel that growth toward the goal of becoming a world-class finance organization. Shital is driven by seeing the success of her team, peers, and the company she works for, but that’s not all. When she's not transforming finance organizations, she can be found on a mountain with her two little boys, skiing in the winter and hiking in all other seasons, or reluctantly touching interesting creatures that she'd otherwise run away from (thanks boys!).
