Bryan discusses the importance of understanding your digital advertising, data presented and marketing operational landscape on a minute-to-minute basis. He has eight big screens behind his desk with various daily metrics in addition to real-time traffic metrics. His team looks at numbers daily and, when it comes to traffic, they review on an hourly basis and compare to the same amount of traffic the week before. With continuously feeding leads to an inside sales team, there is no time to wait a week to realize that something broke last week. Bryan also discusses scoring leads, trade show ROI and more.
A 20+ year high-tech veteran, Bryan has spent the last 11 years working in datacenter infrastructure and operations companies. Bryan came to SmartBear from Dell where he worked for the CMO of Dell Software Group to expand high velocity sales and marketing processes across the Dell software portfolio. He joined Dell after the acquisition of VKernel, where he served as CMO. Under his leadership, the group experienced record growth, expanded engineering operations to India and built global awareness for NetApp’s industry leading storage virtualization solutions.
Prior to NetApp, Bryan was VP of Marketing at Onaro where he established the company as a leader in storage management software and built the marketing processes that supported the company’s profitability and successful acquisition by NetApp in 2008. Before Onaro, Bryan was the VP of Product Marketing and Strategy at server blade virtualization pioneer Egenera. At Egenera, Bryan worked with early adopters of infrastructure and server virtualization technologies in the financial services industry as the company scaled from one to several hundred customers.
