SmartBear Adds Chief People Officer to Executive Leadership Team
Anne Scanlon brings 20 years of experience to further accelerate HR initiatives on the heels of successful growth year

SmartBear, the driver behind the industry’s leading tools for ensuring quality software delivery, has added Anne Scanlon to the company’s executive leadership team as Chief People Officer. Anne is responsible for leading the company’s global human resources function, including employee and culture development, talent acquisition, and retention and change management. She has more than 20 years of experience leading Human Resources at various high-growth companies.

Anne comes to SmartBear from Aptus Health, Inc. a subsidiary of Merck and Co., Inc. where she was the Chief Human Resources Officer. Previously, she held global HR leadership roles at ACI Worldwide, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and EMC. She specializes in building and sustaining a positive employee experience as well as developing strategic partnerships with executives to help scale and support company vision.
Anne has a bachelor’s degree in business operations and master’s degree in human resources from Northeastern University. She has a master’s degree in business administration from Syracuse University.
