In its third year, report points out areas of consistent growth – and areas where organizations struggle to meet demands for higher quality software
Somerville — January 22, 2020 —
SmartBear, the driver behind the industry’s leading tools for ensuring quality software delivery, released the results of its third annual Testing Community Survey. SmartBear conducted a 53-question online survey over the course of eight weeks in the second half of 2019, where they collected industry benchmarks from more than 2,500 development, testing, and software delivery lifecycle professionals.
“The Testing Community Survey has become an annual tradition for us, and each year it presents a holistic view of how people are approaching software quality to meet the ever-increasing demands of their customers,” said Cynthia Gumbert, Chief Marketing Officer at SmartBear. “We are fortunate to have a vocal, passionate testing community who openly shares their views. The results here show some new trends and ongoing challenges that we’re excited to share.”
Findings are based on responses from manual testers, automation engineers, developers, consultants, QA managers, and business analysts from around the globe.
