SmartBear Promotes Vineeta Puranik to CTO to Drive Transformative Hub Strategy

SOMERVILLE, Mass. - January 23, 2025 - SmartBear, a leading provider of software quality and visibility solutions, has promoted Vineeta Puranik to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) after serving the company as SVP, Engineering and DevOps for four years. She has been a driving force in leading organic delivery and technical M&A integration, scaling centers of excellence in India and Poland, and launching the company’s Developer Academy. As CTO, Vineeta is now responsible for development, cloud engineering, AI and architecture, and the company’s overall technology strategy, leading a team of more than 400.

Vineeta’s lengthy career in software engineering leadership spans over two decades. Her expertise includes multi-shore development, cybersecurity, and acquisition – and the elements of integration that go with it. As a seasoned, execution-oriented leader, she’s passionate about integrating AI into the company’s core operations to drive innovation and ensuring secure, high-quality product development practices. Vineeta is known for prioritizing people, retention, and training teams in modern, changing technologies and giving them tools for success.
