Expand your Behavior Driven Development in Jira with Zephyr and Cucumber
SmartBear has recently acquired Cucumber as the next step in our support for Behavior Driven Development (BDD). We have also seen the need for companies looking to leverage BDD to bring multiple teams together and integrate with Jira, a popular project management solution.
In this session, we will show you how our soon-to-be-released Jira Cloud add-on, Cucumber for Jira, can allow you to accelerate your BDD initiatives by bringing in teams of various technical levels together and integrating with test management in Zephyr for Jira.
With this add-on, developers can synchronize their feature files (hosted in git) with Jira creating Living Documentation for all teams to see. These files can then be leveraged by business analysts and project managers to create Jira items linked to them and when results come in, they can be parsed into Jira automatically.
Testers using Zephyr for Jira will be able to create their tests using Gherkin Syntax. They can provide features files to their development/test automation teams which can be kept in sync with Living Documentation. Once Test Cycles are mapped out in Zephyr, the corresponding result files can be uploaded to update the Test Executions.
We look forward to showing you these exciting new features and you’ll be able to try it out yourself on the Atlassian Marketplace soon after!
