The Internet of Things is an exciting and scary place, full of new protocols, completely lacking standards and not as simple as it should be. There is plenty of advice regarding what to build, how to build it and how to make money, but what about making sure that your IoT solution works, it’s fast and safe? Learn how to test IoT devices using REST, MQTT or an SDK to ensure the IoT of tomorrow lives up to the hype. Paul provides examples based off real-world and virtualized environments. His talk gives API developers, testers and digital experience designers an opportunity to see what challenges a mixed testing environment can bring, when the physical IoT is needed or could simply use virtualization, and what other aspects of software quality can be covered with today’s incarnation of IoT devices and services.
