Cyndi Recker is a System Engineer at Viasat, where she works to design and deliver in-flight connectivity for end-to-end performance from concept to operation. Her vision is in the value of the system as a whole, to reach beyond capabilities of individual components, and find strength in how the parts are interconnected. She naturally likes to solve problems and draws from over 20 years experience in hardware and software development from embedded systems to web portals and finds there is always a way to deliver an effective solution.
Intel's Technology visionary, Paul Butler will discuss the future of architecting high-performance software and process, including advances in software development across AI and IoT.
Paul has 21 years of experience at Intel managing teams in strategic materials, outsource manufacturing, and now channel management for Intel software development products. During his tenure at Intel Paul has delivered talks on software development in High Performance Computing and in Artificial Intelligence. Prior to joining Intel Paul was at Apple Computer for 10 years holding positions in WW Product Planning, Global Supply Chain Manager, and Supply Base Manager (Processors).

Applying a risk-based approach to your testing efforts ensures that you are testing the right things at the right times to make sure your software fully satisfies the business.
With a good process in place automated tests can be developed alongside the dev teams so that as soon as a new release is available, you already have automated test coverage. The sooner you have a good feedback loop happening the better you can track metrics to continuously fine tune your automated test assets as your business needs change. Carson will walk you through this process and approach.
Carson is a veteran of software development covering a wide range of disciplines. Carson started his career at Black Lantern Studios, testing video games for various platforms. During his 8-year tenure at he saw growth into a QA Lead, and eventually a project manager where he focused his time between, test management, project management, design, and level scripting. In March 2015, Carson started at O'Reilly as a QA Automation developer. The automation department was very young at the time and he was an integral part of selecting an automation tool (TestComplete) and developing a set of standards and frameworksr. In October 2017 Carson took over the responsibility of QA Automation Supervisor, overseeing the planning and execution of all of O’Reilly’s test automation efforts.
