We had such a fun time volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club in Broward County. We spent time with kids of all ages, from grades kindergarten to high school, during their spring break. We got to have races, shoot some hoops, playboard games, make, and just sit down and get to know each other. It was an awesome day.

It's almost time to start the relay races!
We got to meet the kids and start playing games right after lunch. They brought out board games like Connect 4, Trouble, and Jenga. We have Jenga in our office and play it all the time, so we loved playing this onewith them! Just look at the concentration on everyone's faces.

In the gym, we all got lots of exercise playing a variety of sports. We also held relay races where we all broke up into teams, jumped rope together, and played basketball. The club had a basketball tournament going on, so we joined the kids in watching and cheering on the teams. We got to see the kids creative side when we drew and painted together, and we experienced their competitive side when we played pool together - they were really good at pool!

In the photo on the left, you can see some of their previous art pieces.
But our day was more than just games – we also had a chance to get to know the kids. We found out they love board games, so we’re planning on sending them more games to add to their collection!

Here at SmartBear, we realize the importance of giving back and making time to support our community. That's why we provide employees with one paid community service day each year. We also organize volunteer opportunities around the world, just like this one, for employees to participate in, and we and encourage everyone to volunteer on their own as well.
