State of Mobile Testing 2014 [Upcoming Webinar]
Test and Monitor | Posted February 13, 2014

If you or your company has decided that you need to start developing mobile apps, you’re not alone.

According to new research by SmartBear, 89% of software professionals are already involved in deploying apps or plan to in 2014. We’re all focused on mobile. Even those who don’t plan to get started in mobile this year admit that it’s a critical business move -- according to our data, nearly 50% of companies who aren’t looking into mobile admit that it will present a significant or extreme challenge for their business.

Intrigued?Well,  SmartBear will be releasing plenty more of their survey data when they host a free webinar about mobile testing and quality on February20 at 1:00pm (EST).

Some of the data we will be sharing at this webinar comes from a survey of more than 1,000 software developers, testers and mobile consumers that we did at the tail end of 2013. Their responses show that the No. 1 concern for teams is quality and user acceptance of mobile applications. This makes sense when we know that users are putting mobile applications under more scrutiny than desktop and Web applications (there’s data on that too).

The State of Mobile Testing webinar will address many of the pain points in mobile testing and app quality. Ideally, it will shed some light onto how you can maximize your mobile quality processes. Additionally, TestComplete expert Gregg Hanson will be giving the first public demo of TestComplete 10 Mobile and show how it can assist testing and development teams in developing higher quality mobile applications by allowing more testing cycles.

I’m on the discussion panel with Gregg, Nick Olivo, and Rich Caplow, so things may get heated. Of course, you’ll be welcome to join via the webinar chat and live audience polls.
