Hey there! My name is Kirsten and I’m a Customer Success Manager here at SmartBear. For those unfamiliar with Customer Success at SmartBear, our team is here to help you leverage the tools you’re currently using to meet your business goals.

You’ll likely work with me if you use ReadyAPI and/or SwaggerHub. If you’re currently using another one of our products, check out the list at the bottom of this post to identify your Customer Success Manager.

I’m here to align your goals, both end-user and business with our applications. This includes onboarding, recurring check-ins, onsite training and directing you to the best-in-class resources we have.

Here’s a short Q&A to get to know me better!

  1. What’s your favorite feature?

My favorite feature is within our API virtualization tool, ServiceV Pro, which allows you to spin up fully functioning dynamic virts on your local machine in just 3 clicks (something no other product can do).

  1. What’s something most customers don’t know about SmartBear?

A lot of customers aren’t fully aware of SmartBear Academy, our free user training program. We offer monthly live virtual classes or you can take advantage of our on-demand recordings.

  1. What’s the most common question you get asked?

Aside from how to properly say my name (Kur-sten), a lot of people ask me what the difference is between their Account Manager and their Customer Success Manager. Truth be told we’re a team and work together to uncover your painpoints.  The difference lies in our focus areas. While your Account Manager focuses on customer expansion, your Customer Success Manager focuses on successful product adoption.

  1. What’s your favorite part of being a Customer Success Manager?

My favorite part about being a Customer Success Manager is being able to collaborate with different departments. As the voice of the customer internally, I work with support, product management, leadership and development to help customers achieve their development and testing initiatives. Additionally, watching a customer evolve and use our products throughout the full API lifecycle is amazing to see!

  1. What’s your favorite food?

I’m a huge snacker – it’s between dips (guacamole, buffalo chicken dip, 7-layer, spinach artichoke, queso) and ice cream with several toppings – yes, even in the winter!
