Meet the SmartBear Team in Austin
Here at SmartBear, we love APIs, and are looking forward to connecting and learning from the API community in Austin, and showcasing our API tools like SwaggerHub and Swagger Inspector for designing, documenting, and developing APIs, SoapUI Pro and ServiceV for testing and virtualizing APIs, and Alertsite for API monitoring.
If you’re heading to Austin for the event, make sure to stop by the SmartBear booth to meet the team, pick up a T-shirt, and enter to win our free drawing for a Classic Nintendo NES. If you’re already using tools like Swagger and SoapUI, we’d love to hear from you and help answer any questions in person.
In addition to sponsoring the event, members of the SmartBear team will also be taking the stage to share their expertise and showcase some of our API solutions. Here’s a look at what we have planned for the event:
Adopting an API-First Approach with OpenAPI 3.0
Wednesday, June 13 at 4:25 PM CT
A big part of adopting the API-first mindset is design thinking. The OpenAPI Specification goes hand-in-hand with an API-first thinking. In this talk, Keshav Vasudevan, Product Marketing Manager, Swagger at SmartBear will cover what it takes to actually adopt an API-first approach to building products from the API’s design, and how to position API design into your development workflow using the latest version of the OpenAPI Specification, OpenAPI 3.0
Faster Development and Better Quality in The Era of API Definitions
Wednesday, June 13 at 3:00 PM CT
The OpenAPI Specification has emerged as the definition framework for REST APIs, and provides a common contract of designers, developers, testers, and devops to build and maintain APIs. In this session, Michael Giller, Product Owner, API Products at SmartBear will detail how you can take advantage of the OpenAPI Specification to accelerate your API development and testing strategy. We will cover how you can use SmartBear tools like SwaggerHub to design and manage your definition, and how this definition can be refactored into the ReadyAPI testing suite, and ServiceV, to virtualize your API dependencies and deliver quality, performant APIs faster.
