LoadComplete Web Load Testing

ASP.NET Load Testing

ASP.NET

ASP.NET is Micrsoft’s Web application framework that allows developers to use .NET technologies for Web UI, data processing and business logic. SmartBear LoadComplete allows you to comprehensively load test your ASP.NET application to pinpoint performance issues and ensure the application is ready for production workload.

Recording and Playing Back ASP.NET Application Traffic

LoadComplete allows you to create realistic load testing scenarios easily by recording navigation through your tested ASP.NET application, such as catalog browsing, form submissions and so on. Recording can be done in any browser or client application.

The recorded scenarios can then be played back using hundreds and thousands of unique virtual users to test the application and back-end components under load.

Viewing and Changing Request Parameters

The recorded traffic — requests and responses — can be viewed in detail, along with URL parameters and HTML form fields, in LoadComplete’s UI. You can change request parameters and parameterize them with variables to test many different input data sets.

Dynamic Parameter Handling and Data Correlation

ASP.NET applications can include dynamic parameters generated on the server side that are used to track the application state, such as ViewState. Since these parameters have different values for different users, they need to be dynamically extracted from server responses and inserted into subsequent requests in order for the test to play back correctly.

LoadComplete automatically detects dynamic parameters in the recorded ASP.NET application traffic and sets up correlation rules for these parameters to be properly handled during the test run. You can also create custom data correlation rules to extract and correlate arbitrary values in requests and responses.

Monitoring Server Metrics During Test Run

LoadComplete provides integrated monitoring for Windows, IIS and ASP.NET server metrics, so that you can get a detailed insight in your tested server performance during the test run. You can track server activities, memory, I/O and other metrics side-by-side or on the same graph, and easily correlate them with performance slowdowns that take place.

Using External Data Sources for Parameterization

LoadComplete lets you bind request parameters to external data sources, such as databases, Excel and CSV files to test your web application with many different parameter values: user names, passwords, product IDs, search terms and so on.
