LoadComplete Web Load Testing

Introducing Version 2.1

New Features in LoadComplete 2.10

Below is a summary of updates and enhancements that have been included in LoadComplete version 2.10.

  • Improved interface for parameterization of rich Internet application (RIA) traffic. The Parameterization wizard has been improved to include all supported RIA formats, such as AMF, XML (text and binary), and JSON. This enables users to view all parameters, grouped by request, in a single dialog for a more streamlined workflow.
  • Appending scenarios to existing load tests. Now, LoadComplete allows appending recorded scenarios to existing load tests. For this purpose, the Record User Scenario dialog includes the Append the recorded scenario to the following test option that lets you both select the name of the existing load test and command LoadComplete to add this scenario to the specified load test after the recording is finished.
  • Improved Data Selectors. Data selectors now help you resolve problems that occur when testing web applications that use URL encoding. For this purpose, the Data Selectors tab of the Scenario editor now has an option to decode extracted values before saving them to variables.
  • Test report optimizations resulted in improved performance and memory consumption when generating and displaying test reports.
  • Auto-updating projects created in previous versions of LoadComplete during a silent test run. When you run a load test created in a previous version of LoadComplete from the command line in Silent mode, LoadComplete can now automatically update the project files to the current format. To enable this, use the /ForceConversion command-line argument.

Bug Fixes in LoadComplete 2.10

General
  • Improved: The Image tab of the Response panel now supports ICO files.
  • Fixed: LoadComplete could hang on attempts to perform a search within an inactive editor.
  • Fixed: An issue where data selectors incorrectly decoded values extracted from url-encoded server responses.
  • Fixed: Date-time variables were processed in a locale-dependent manner.
  • Fixed: The “Object disconnected” error could occur upon verifying remote stations.

Test Recording and Playback
  • Improved: Virtual memory consumption during long-term tests was reduced.
  • Fixed: Sometimes, under certain combination of continuous load setting and custom workload profile, the test did not stop when the specified running time elapsed.

Test Log
  • Improved: The log no longer reports an error if a user task was not executed due to elapsed continuous load time.
  • Fixed: When plotted values were close to the graph’s upper or lower vertical bound, the resulting line could be plotted incorrectly.
  • Fixed: Some graphs of the Report panel displayed percentage values incorrectly.
