Support for Microsoft Silverlight applications

AQtime can now profile in-browser Silverlight applications running on a local machine or on a remote computer, as well as out-of-browser Silverlight applications running on your computer. For complete information, see Profiling Silverlight Applications.

Tracing Java events

Now AQtime can trace specific Java events, obtain a call stack for Java exceptions and display this information in the Event View panel.
 
AQtime integrated into Embarcadero RAD Studio adds the Run With Profiling menu and toolbar command to the RAD Studio IDE. In earlier versions, this command started profiling and used only FULL CHECK profiling areas, that is, it ignored custom profiling areas defined in the Setup panel. In AQtime version 7.20, this behavior has been changed. Now, the command takes into account all the profiling areas defined in your project.

Bug Fixes in AQtime 7.20

General

  • Fixed: AQtime could shut down unexpectedly when adding web pages to a profiled project.
  • Fixed an issue where AQtime could be terminated unexpectedly when converting a project created in one of the previous AQtime versions to the format supported by the current AQtime version.

Profiling Applications

  • Fixed: On Windows Server 2003, profiled applications could not start under profilers of the Allocation group.
  • Fixed: WPF applications could crash upon starting under AQtime if the Use extended debugger for managed code option was enabled.
  • Fixed: .NET applications could hang upon starting profiling.
  • Fixed an issue where .NET applications profiled with dynamic profilers could terminate abnormally.
  • Fixed: Sometimes, AQtime could not start a .NET application under dynamic profilers.
  • Fixed an issue where .NET applications could hang during profiling if both .NET 2.0 Framework and .NET 4.0 Framework were installed on the computer.
  • Fixed: AQtime could not profile .NET applications if only .NET Framework version 4.0 was installed on the computer.
  •  Fixed: 64-bit applications profiled with the Function Trace profiler could abnormally terminate on exit.

IDE Integration

  • Added integrated AQtime help for Microsoft Visual Studio Test Editor.
  • Fixed: "A call to an OS function failed" errors occurred in AQtime integrated into Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
  • Fixed: AQtime integrated into Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 could not load debug information for a Visual C++ application until IDE restart.
